Space Shuttle Explorer Replica & Diversified Lifting Systems

It's not everyday someone calls up to order the rigging of a 65ft two-legged wire rope bridle, with (2) 3ft eyes designed to handle up to 26 tons of precious cargo owned by NASA. But, on May 22nd 2012 Kirby Corp., one of America's premiere maritime towing companies did just that. They contacted Diversified Lifting Systems of Tampa to construct the wire rope slings needed to pull the Space Shuttle Replica "Explorer" from the Port of Canaveral about a weeks journey away to Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.

"Diversified Lifting Systems is built on the hard work and dedication of our employees, and our team is proud to have been apart of this unique project serving NASA."
President & CEO of Diversified Lifting Systems Billy Crowe.
